My name is Wouter. I'm a 39-year old Belgian living and working in Vietnam. I'm here with my wife Griet and our two sons, Ole and Mats. A picture says more than a thousand words, hence the family selfie above. This was taken on the beach of Swakopmund, Namibia, in July 2014.
This blog, Xin Chào Bỉ, is a personal photographic narrative of life in Vietnam and beyond. Expect cliches and surprises, smiles and tears, concrete and forests. Hopefully you'll enjoy looking around here as much as I did clicking the shutter.
About my gear
This is a photography blog and to be honest, I like photo gear. I know a camera is only a tool, but the way this tool is shaped, operates and fits in the hand does play an important role in capturing an image. For me the Fuji X system is everything I need and more.
My main camera is a Fuji X-E2. I enjoy using it with one of Fuji's fantastic Fujinon XF primes or the Fujinon XC zooms.
